The Story
Who We Are
P31 Impact Initiative, formally known as FAR Women’s Ministry, was founded in 2017 to serve women through faith centered education, leadership development, and community impact. What began as a grassroots ministry has evolved into a structured nonprofit organization committed to the holistic development of women across spiritual, emotional, professional, and community spaces.
P31 Impact Initiative serves as the organizational and operational foundation for all programming, partnerships, and community initiatives, including Beyond My Brokenness.
The mission of P31 Impact Initiative is to equip women to become whole, grounded, and effective leaders by providing access to education, resources, safe spaces, and community partnerships that support sustainable growth and long term impact.
The Mission
We exist to serve women not only at moments of inspiration, but throughout the process of healing, rebuilding, and leading well.

| OUR SIGNATURE LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE |
Beyond My Brokenness is the Signature Leadership Experience of P31 Impact Initiative. Launched in 2019 with 50 women, it has grown into a transformative retreat welcoming women from across the country. This experience represents the culmination of our year round community work, leadership development, and impact initiatives

Meet the Founder
Dr. LaTonya J. Smith
is a Christian educator, leadership strategist, and the founder of P31 Impact Initiative, the nonprofit organization behind the Beyond My Brokenness movement.
In 2019, Dr. Smith launched Beyond My Brokenness with just 50 women and a clear mandate, to create safe, transformative spaces where women could heal, lead, and live whole. What began as a small gathering has grown into a nationally attended leadership experience serving women across professional, faith, and community spaces.
Dr. Smith brings more than inspiration to this work. She is a doctoral level practitioner in Christian education whose leadership is rooted in biblical scholarship, lived experience, and community impact. Her work centers on helping women move from survival and burnout into clarity, conviction, and sustainable leadership across home, career, business, and community.
Through P31 Impact Initiative,
Dr. Smith leads initiatives focused on holistic wellness, leadership development, mental health advocacy, entrepreneurship support, and community service. The organization actively partners with local and regional agencies, including mental health providers, nonprofits, and community organizations, to meet tangible needs beyond the conference space.
Dr. Smith is known for her transparent teaching style, strategic approach to leadership, and unwavering commitment to serving the whole woman. Her work reflects a belief that when women are holistically supported, they are positioned to lead families, organizations, and communities with strength and integrity.
